Ingredients

  • 1 large head green cabbage
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or garlic-infused oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds or caraway seeds optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or Parmesan for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice cabbage into 1 to 1.5-inch thick steaks, keeping the core intact.
  • Brush both sides with garlic olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and seeds.
  • Arrange steaks in a single layer on the sheet.
  • Roast for 25 minutes, then flip and roast another 20 minutes until edges are crispy.
  • Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

  • Preheating the baking sheet enhances crispiness.
  • Red cabbage can be used, though it won’t crisp as much.
  • Add spices like paprika or chili powder for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat in oven or air fryer.
