Southern Peach Bread Recipe: Moist, Delicious, and Easy to Make

Ingredients
  

  • - 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 1 tsp baking powder
  • - ½ tsp baking soda
  • - ½ tsp salt
  • - ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • - 1 cup sugar
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 1 cup peeled and diced fresh peaches
  • - Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon ½ cup pecans

Instructions
 

  • 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5” loaf pan.
  • 2️⃣ Peel and dice peaches.
  • 3️⃣ Mix dry ingredients in one bowl, wet ingredients in another.
  • 4️⃣ Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in peaches (and pecans, if using).
  • 5️⃣ Pour batter into pan; bake 55-65 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • 6️⃣ Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove and cool on a wire rack.

Notes

- Toss diced peaches in flour to prevent sinking.
- Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
- Optional: Top with a brown sugar crumb or peach glaze.
