Ingredients

1 angel food cake, cubed (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups heavy whipping cream

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 lb strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 pint blueberries

2–3 tbsp granulated sugar (optional, for berries)
Instructions

In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla; mix well.

In another chilled bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form; fold into cream cheese mixture.

Slice strawberries; toss berries separately with sugar if desired.

Layer in a trifle bowl: cake cubes, cream mixture, berries. Repeat layers, ending with berries on top.

Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
