Description

A hearty and healthy Turkey Chili Recipe made with lean ground turkey, beans, tomatoes, and bold spices. Perfect for family dinners, meal prep, or game day.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93/7 or 85/15)

  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 2 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot. Sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.

  • Add ground turkey, breaking it apart until no longer pink.

  • Stir in spices and cook for 1–2 minutes.

  • Add beans, tomatoes, and broth. Stir well.

  • Simmer uncovered for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

 

  • Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve with toppings of choice.

Notes

  • For extra depth, add a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder.

  • Can be made in a slow cooker or Instant Pot.
