Description

A festive and creamy dessert that combines the nostalgic sweetness of sugar cookies with the rich, smooth texture of classic cheesecake — perfect for holiday leftovers or winter gatherings.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed sugar cookies (leftover or store-bought)

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 3 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Optional Toppings:

  • Whipped cream

  • Crushed sugar cookies

  • Holiday sprinkles


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease or line a 9-inch springform pan.

  • Make the crust: Mix crushed sugar cookies with melted butter. Press into the pan and bake for 10 minutes.

  • Prepare the filling: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream, eggs (one at a time), vanilla, and salt. Mix until just combined.

  • Pour over crust and smooth the top.

  • Bake for 50–60 minutes or until the center is just set and slightly jiggly.

  • Cool in oven with door slightly open for 1 hour, then chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight).

 

  • Garnish with whipped cream, crushed cookies, or sprinkles before serving.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the batter to avoid cracks.

  • Room temperature ingredients yield a smoother filling.
