Ingredients

  • – 1 cup granulated sugar
  • – ½ cup + 1 tbsp water
  • – 6 tbsp white vinegar
  • – 4½ tsp red wine vinegar
  • – 1 tsp finely grated onion
  • – 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • – ¼ tsp sesame oil
  • – 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • – 1 tbsp dried minced onion
  • – 2 tsp dry mustard powder
  • – 1 tsp salt
  • – ¾ tsp poppy seeds
  • – ½ tsp celery seed
  • – ¼ tsp onion powder
  • – ¼ tsp paprika
  • – ¼ tsp black pepper
  • – ⅛ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and whisk until well blended.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking frequently.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
