A festive and refreshing holiday punch with peppermint and fruit flavors, ideal for family gatherings and holiday parties.
Ingredients
– 4-5 candy canes (crushed or whole)
– 1-2 drops peppermint extract (optional)
– 1 cup cranberry or cherry juice
– 2 cups ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
– 1 cup vodka, rum, or champagne (optional)
– Garnishes: whipped cream, mint leaves, crushed candy canes
Instructions
1. Prepare Candy Cane Syrup: Dissolve candy canes in ½ cup warm water or soda to create a peppermint syrup.
2. Mix Ingredients: In a punch bowl, combine the candy cane syrup, juice, peppermint extract, and soda. Add alcohol if making an adult version.
3. Garnish: Rim glasses with crushed candy canes, pour the punch, and garnish with whipped cream or mint.
4. Serve: Serve chilled or blend with ice for a frozen punch.
Notes
Use sugar-free soda and candy canes for a low-sugar version. Adjust peppermint to taste, and leave out alcohol for a kid-friendly punch.
