Description

Juicy fresh peaches pan-fried with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until caramelized. A quick, versatile summer dessert or topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large firm ripe peaches, sliced

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  • Slice peaches into ½-inch wedges (peel if preferred).

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Add peaches, cut side down, and cook for 2–3 minutes.

  • Flip, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

  • Add lemon juice or maple syrup if desired.

  • Cook 2–3 more minutes until soft and golden.

  • Serve warm with ice cream, yogurt, pancakes, or on their own.

Notes

  • Use slightly firm peaches to avoid mushiness.

  • Frozen peaches (thawed) work, but don’t caramelize as well.

  • Add fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for a savory touch.
