Description

Muddy Buddy Rice Krispies are a delicious no-bake treat made by combining crispy cereal with a rich chocolate-peanut butter coating and powdered sugar. They’re a fun, crunchy twist on the classic puppy chow snack – perfect for parties, holidays, or everyday snacking.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar


Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.

  • In a large mixing bowl, pour melted mixture over Rice Krispies and gently stir to coat evenly.

  • Transfer coated cereal into a large zip-top bag.

  • Add powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake until all pieces are well coated.

 

  • Spread on parchment paper to cool and set. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • You can use Chex cereal for a more traditional “puppy chow” texture.

  • Add M&M’s, pretzels, or nuts for variety.
