Monster Rice Krispie Treats are a fun, festive twist on the classic marshmallow cereal bars. Coated in colorful candy melts and decorated with googly candy eyes and sprinkles, these no-bake Halloween treats are perfect for kids, parties, or creative afternoons in the kitchen.


Ingredients

For the Base:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows

  • 5 cups crispy rice cereal

For Decoration:

  • 2 cups candy melts (assorted colors like purple, green, orange)

  • Candy eyeballs (various sizes)

3 tablespoons Halloween-themed sprinkles


Instructions

 

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium-low heat.

  2. Add marshmallows and stir until smooth.

  3. Remove from heat and fold in crispy rice cereal until well combined.

  4. Press the mixture into a parchment-lined 9×9-inch pan and let cool for 40 minutes.

  5. Cut into rectangles or squares.

  6. Melt candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds.

  7. Dip treats halfway into the melted candy, smoothing with a knife if needed.

  8. While still wet, add candy eyes and sprinkles.

  9. Let set for 45 minutes at room temperature before serving.
