Ingredients
– 2 medium apples, peeled & diced
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– 1 tbsp flour (to thicken)
– 1 package refrigerated pie dough
– 1 egg (for egg wash)
– 1 tbsp milk
– Optional: coarse sugar for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and flour in a bowl.
3. Roll out dough and cut into circles or rectangles.
4. Spoon filling onto half of each shape. Cover with second piece, seal edges.
5. Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sugar.
6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
7. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
– Use any apples: Granny Smith for tartness or Honeycrisp for sweetness.
– Freeze before baking for make-ahead desserts.
– Great served with vanilla ice cream or caramel drizzle.
