Description

Crispy oven-baked fries topped with bold Cajun seasoning, creamy ranch dressing, and gooey cheese sauce. A spicy Southern-inspired snack perfect for sharing!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into thick fries

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 11.5 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • ¼ cup ranch dressing (plus extra for dipping)

  • Cheese Sauce

    • 2 tbsp butter

    • 2 tbsp flour

    • ⅔ cup milk

    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Steam the potatoes over boiling water for 10–12 minutes until outer edges are tender.

  • Toss with olive oil and bake at 450°F (230°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Make cheese sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, add milk and cheddar, stir until smooth.

  • Assemble fries: Top baked fries with Cajun seasoning, drizzle ranch, and cheese sauce.

  • Serve hot with extra sauces on the side.

Notes

  • Use a slotted spoon when moving fries to avoid sogginess.

  • Homemade Cajun seasoning allows better control of salt and spice.

  • Can be made in an air fryer (15 mins at 400°F).

  • Add-ons: jalapeños, green onions, bacon bits for extra flavor.
