Description

This lemon mousse is a light, creamy, and tangy no-bake dessert made with just four main ingredients. It’s easy to prepare, perfect for warm-weather entertaining, and can be made ahead for convenience

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large lemons (zested and juiced – about 4 tsp juice)

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese as an alternative)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Zest and juice the lemons. Set aside.

  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and mascarpone together until soft peaks form.

  • Add lemon zest, juice, and powdered sugar. Continue whipping until medium-stiff peaks form.

  • Spoon into serving dishes, cover, and chill for at least 1 hour.

  • Serve as-is or garnish with whipped cream, berries, or crushed cookies.

Notes

  • For a tangier mousse, increase the lemon juice to 5–6 tsp.

  • Mascarpone can be substituted with Greek yogurt or cream cheese.

  • For added texture, layer with crushed graham crackers or serve in tart shells.

  • Best when chilled for at least 1–2 hours before serving.
