Description

A fun and festive Halloween-themed twist on classic quesadillas. These Jack-O’-Lantern Quesadillas are quick, cheesy, and kid-friendly — perfect for parties, spooky snacks, or a themed lunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas (per quesadilla)

  • ½ to ¾ cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

  • 1 tsp olive oil or butter (for cooking)

  • Optional fillings:

    • Cooked chicken, ground beef, black beans

    • Bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach

  • Optional toppings/dips:

    • Salsa, guacamole, sour cream

  • Tools: sharp paring knife or small cookie cutters


Instructions

  • Stack two tortillas and cut a jack-o’-lantern face into the top one.

  • Place the uncut tortilla flat and sprinkle cheese and desired fillings.

  • Top with the face-cut tortilla and align edges.

  • Heat skillet over medium and add olive oil or butter.

  • Cook quesadilla face-up for 2–3 minutes, flip, and cook until golden.

 

  • Let cool slightly, cut, and serve with your favorite dips.

  • Use food-safe markers for extra spooky designs.

  • Bake instead of pan-frying for a lighter version.
