Description
Crispy, golden-brown salmon patties that are easy to make, full of flavor, and perfect for a quick meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb salmon (fresh or canned, drained)
- 2 large eggs (for binding)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for keto)
- ¼ cup finely diced onion
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the Salmon: If using fresh salmon, cook and flake it. If using canned salmon, drain well.
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine salmon, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to avoid over-mixing.
- Form the Patties: Shape the mixture into 8 equal patties (about ½ inch thick). Chill for 15 minutes for better shape retention.
- Cook: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each patty for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside fresh salads and roasted veggies.
Notes
- For a spicy twist, add ½ tsp cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
- To make gluten-free salmon patties, use almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- For a healthier option, consider baking the patties at 400°F (200°C) for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway.
