Description

Creamy peanut butter filling dipped in smooth chocolate—a no-bake Easter favorite that’s easy, fun, and perfect for gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable shortening or refined coconut oil
  • Optional toppings: sprinkles (sea salt, white chocolate drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Melt & Mix: In a saucepan, combine peanut butter, butter, and brown sugar. Stir until smooth.
  2. Add Sugar: Remove from heat and gradually mix in powdered sugar.
  3. Shape: Roll into egg shapes and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Heat chocolate chips with shortening until smooth.
  6. Dip & Decorate: Dip eggs in chocolate, top with decorations, and chill again.

Notes

  • Avoid natural peanut butter—it’s too oily.

  • Use silicone molds for perfect egg shapes.

  • Store in the fridge or freezer for longer shelf life.

  • Try flavor variations like white chocolate, Nutella, or sunflower seed butter for nut-free homes.
