Description

Crispy on the outside and tender inside, these Garlic Parmesan Sweet Potato Wedges are the ultimate savory side dish. Baked or air-fried to golden perfection, they’re packed with garlic flavor and finished with melty parmesan cheese — an easy and healthy upgrade to classic fries


Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into wedges

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Optional: ½ tsp paprika or Italian seasoning


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (or air fryer to 400°F).

  • Soak sweet potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry thoroughly.

  • In a bowl, toss wedges with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and optional spices.

  • Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each wedge.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through. Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end if needed.

  • Remove from oven and sprinkle parmesan on top while hot. Let rest for 2 minutes.

 

  • Serve with dipping sauces or as a side dish.

Notes

  • For crisper wedges, don’t skip the soaking step and always dry them thoroughly.

  • You can substitute garlic with garlic powder (½ tsp) in a pinch.

  • Use vegan parmesan to make it dairy-free.
