Description

Juicy shrimp simmered in a velvety garlic cream sauce, served over fluffy buttery mashed potatoes. A comforting yet elegant dish, perfect for weeknights or entertaining.


Ingredients

  • For Shrimp & Sauce:

    • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined

    • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil

    • 4 garlic cloves, minced

    • 1 cup heavy cream

    • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated

    • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

    • Salt & pepper to taste

    • Optional: splash of white wine, chili flakes

    For Mashed Potatoes:

    • 2 lbs Yukon gold or russet potatoes, peeled & chopped

    • 4 tbsp butter

    • ½ cup milk or cream

    • Salt to taste

    • Optional: sour cream or cream cheese


Instructions

  • Cook potatoes: Boil until tender, drain, then mash with butter, milk, and seasonings.

  • Cook shrimp: Sear in butter/oil until pink, 1–2 min per side. Remove.

  • Make sauce: In same pan, sauté garlic, add cream, parmesan, and seasonings. Simmer until thickened.

  • Assemble: Spoon mashed potatoes on plates, top with shrimp, drizzle sauce, garnish with parsley/lemon zest.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—remove as soon as they turn opaque.

  • Warm milk/cream before adding to potatoes for smoother mash.
