Description

Crack Burgers are irresistibly cheesy, buttery, sweet-and-savory sliders made with ground beef, Hawaiian rolls, and a rich glaze. Perfect for parties, game days, or indulgent weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef Layer:

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

For the Sauce:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Other Ingredients:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or slider buns)

  • 68 slices American or cheddar cheese

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced and caramelized

  • Optional: pickles, jalapeños, bacon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Cook ground beef with seasonings until browned. Drain.

  • Caramelize onions in butter over medium heat (10–12 minutes).

  • In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in sauce ingredients. Simmer briefly.

  • Slice rolls horizontally (keep bottom and top halves intact).

  • Layer beef, onions, cheese on bottom buns. Add tops.

  • Pour sauce evenly over rolls.

  • Cover with foil, bake 15 minutes. Uncover, bake 5–7 more minutes until golden.

  • Rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve!

Notes

  • Try with jalapeño cheddar bread for a spicy twist.

  • Add crispy bacon between the layers for extra richness.

  • Best served fresh, but leftovers reheat well in an air fryer.

  • Use sharp cheddar for a more grown-up flavor profile.
