Ingredients
For the Beef Layer:

1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder
For the Sauce:

½ cup unsalted butter

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

½ tsp garlic powder
Other Ingredients:

12 Hawaiian rolls (or slider buns)

6–8 slices American or cheddar cheese

1 large onion, thinly sliced and caramelized

Optional: pickles, jalapeños, bacon
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook ground beef with seasonings until browned. Drain.

Caramelize onions in butter over medium heat (10–12 minutes).

In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in sauce ingredients. Simmer briefly.

Slice rolls horizontally (keep bottom and top halves intact).

Layer beef, onions, cheese on bottom buns. Add tops.

Pour sauce evenly over rolls.

Cover with foil, bake 15 minutes. Uncover, bake 5–7 more minutes until golden.

Rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve!
