- 1 pound sausage ( turkey, or vegetarian)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 4 cups bread cubes or hash browns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced vegetables (bell peppers, onions, spinach)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
Cook sausage until browned, shred cheese, and prepare bread or hash browns. - Preheat the Oven:
Set to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. - Assemble the Casserole:
- Layer bread or hash browns at the bottom of the dish.
- Add cooked sausage and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Pour whisked egg, milk, salt, and pepper mixture evenly over the top.
- Bake the Casserole:
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Cool and Serve:
Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

- Use day-old bread or dried hash browns to avoid sogginess.
