Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage ( turkey, or vegetarian)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups bread cubes or hash browns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced vegetables (bell peppers, onions, spinach)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients:
    Cook sausage until browned, shred cheese, and prepare bread or hash browns.
  • Preheat the Oven:
    Set to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Assemble the Casserole:
    • Layer bread or hash browns at the bottom of the dish.
    • Add cooked sausage and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
    • Pour whisked egg, milk, salt, and pepper mixture evenly over the top.
  • Bake the Casserole:
    • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown and set.
  • Cool and Serve:
    Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
