Instructions

Brown the butter: Melt butter in saucepan, cook until golden brown and nutty. Cool slightly.

Cook apples: Sauté diced apples with maple syrup and cinnamon until just tender. Let cool.

Mix batter: Whisk brown butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, then dry ingredients. Fold in apples.

Bake: Spread in greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 min. Cool fully.
