Description

A warm, elegant, and healthy dish featuring baked pears stuffed with feta cheese, dried cranberries, and drizzled with honey. Perfect as an appetizer, side, or light dessert with a balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 firm pears (Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored

  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ⅓ cup dried cranberries

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

  • Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Halve and core pears; place cut side up in a baking dish.

  • Drizzle each pear with honey and fill with feta and cranberries.

  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped nuts if using.

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until pears are fork-tender.

  • Garnish with herbs. Serve warm as a side, appetizer, or dessert.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use plant-based feta and agave syrup.

  • Substitute cranberries with raisins or dried cherries for variation.

  • Avoid overripe pears—they may become mushy when baked.

  • Great served with Greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream.
